Location is fine, lobby service also fine.

Location is fine, but housekeeping is poorly done. Housekeeper didn't change or clean cups and overall cleanness is poor. Breakfast buffet was not good as well. Dirty plates were all places. Waitresses have no patience.

Room was not completely clean and the breakfast was not hygienic (staff sneezing and not washing hands, using the same spoon to taste food and cook).

Ray who checked me in offered me free breakfast.Easy access to bus.

When I checked in , I room moved twice due to the smoke smell of the rooms . In addition , at the first night during my stayed, I woke up to watch Euro 2024 game at 12am, tv had no signal. Someone came to look at but couldn’t fix it. So I had to room move to another room again. I can’t believe that I had to room move three times.The accommodation rooms were out of date and smells smoke.

Breakfast was poor (oily eggs, hardly any cheese available - surprising for a french hotel!, lack of western food variety especially bread, jam, and no other flavours of yogurt). Do not recommend.

Sofitel is a 5star hotel chain. However, this wasn’t close to a 5star experience. Especially the bathroom was rather dirty. Might have once been a great hotel, but absolutely not what I would expect

Location is good, near Xuanwu Park.

Not sound proof, you hear everything of your next door neighbors, not a level for 5-star hotel.And I stayed in an upgraded room (a suit), maybe a normal room would even worse with all the noise around. Also the bathroom smells bad, it would be easy to perfume it everyday and get rid of the strong smell, but it seems no one really cares about it.Compared to 2019 before covid when I was staying there, the hotel really has been leveled down, a pity, I really liked it before...

I was allowed to check in early--about 8:30 am, which was a huge relief, as I had just gotten out of COVID quarantine. The staff was very helpful in arranging taxis, and calling to see if tourist sites were open (they weren't).

The gym was closed (COVID). Also, my room kind of had a slight funny smell--almost like pipe tobacco.

The staff really tried their best to help us out. Their effort is highly appreciated, from finding a lost package sent to us, to sending something out urgently while we were away from the hotel. 10 out of 10 for staff service. It’s also one of the few hotels left in Nanjing that do not refuse foreigners.

You will need to walk a short distance to get to a subway station.

The location is convenient

For the price we paid it was a little tired and shabby. The club lounge that we had paid for was not open, and instead we were given a very low quality afternoon tea offering. The bar staff also gave rather poor service when we claimed our happy hour drinks.

The swimming pool was very nice and the buffet breakfast and lunch were quite worth it .

1.Booked the room with executive lounge but executive lounge was told not open.If it is not open why still showed on the booking page ?2.The replacement treatment of executive lounge wasn't that pleasant cause you feel like you always need to ask and being questioned for things.3.Most importantly the total price I booked was 808 and they did it wrong as 898, after I called and they finally realized the mistake but the solution was that I might get the money after one month because of some process!!!That's really annoying.

The hotel room layout is spacious with big windows that face the lake.

The check in process can be improved. Staying at a Sofitel I come to expect quality service, which I didn’t receive in check in. I waited a considerable amount of time to check in. People were served as they disrupted guests already checking in. Staff lacked assertiveness to deal with this behaviors. Neighborhood has some construction projects which makes for some traffic congestion.

Room was large but lacked thoroughly cleaning as there were several hairs etc. on the floors. Buffet was fine, but the refilling of dishes was slow. The restaurant was not cleaned after the night before so there were stains of chocolate on the floor from the chocolate fountain the night before

I had to ask for a new keycard three times as it did not work. One time they had to reset the doorlock to open. The hotel was non smoking but the staff did not enforce this meaning people were smoking at the hallways, in the elevators and on the public toilets. Finally all hand sanitizer stations did not work or was empty

I liked the staff. They tried their best to help us and sorted things out for us. Well done, guys!

Well, the room was smaller than how they looked in pictures. Also, I requested a room with full view and I didn't get that.
